About Matthew

I come to UX Design with a degree in Psychology and a minor in Public Health from the University of Minnesota, in addition to being a two time UX design bootcamp graduate. My education focused on design thinking in computer interaction, health systems, cognitive psychology and behavioral psychology cumulating in a research project capstone.

As a designer I've worked with various clients ranging from animal shelter nonprofits to education startups. I am a T-shaped designer with a specialization in UX Research.

My public health career has helped shape me as a UX designer. I've utilized design thinking throughout varied public health roles. I've created visual design systems to improve the efficency of personal trainers delivering workouts, to using empathic listening with hundreds of health coaching clients to create lifestyle changes. All with the same goal: creating a healthier world.
